Isidro Castillo
|
| December 19, 1976 – October 11, 2009 On October 4, 2009, Isidro Castillo was critically injured at Palm Beach International Raceway, doing something that he truly loved. Roadracing. Some may say that during his brief racing career, he was the most improved novice rider they had ever seen. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at the track, on the track, and post race weekends with his friends and racing family. Sadly, one week later, his body gave out and succumbed to his injuries. Some people go through life unnoticed, but this guy made a dent – a big dent. His spirit remains with everyone who knew him through his enthusiasm, joy, and absolute lust for life - which were just as contagious as his great, big, exuberant smile. It is nearly impossible to summate the essence of a man into mere words, especially a man who exuded such a presence that touched everyone who met him. But, if he could condense it down to one just one favorite quote, it would be fitting that Isidro’s epitaph read, in his own words, “I’m a badass!” |
