We lost another good guy last weekend,
Paul Farrell, race director and good friend.
Paul was taken from us on Friday July 26th , 2002
while heading to VIR for a race weekend.
He was well respected and liked by everyone.
His dedication to our sport especially here in the Southeast
where he spent so much of his time working race events,
was always evident. You always knew where you stood with him.
He went about his job with a quiet reserve and would always
listen to the complaints from riders and make a judgement
based on fairness and the rules.
I enjoyed my weekends working with Paul at Savannah, Kershaw and VIR.
He was a consumate gentleman at all times and I'm sure I drove him nuts
with my announcing but he always smiled and things went smoothly.
Paul had a passion for racing and enjoyed looking over the fence
at some great battles. Now, he's off to that track where so many
have gone before him. He will be missed by many
racers, fans, officials and friends.
God Speed Good Friend you left us way too early...
We will never forget you!
Our prayers and well wishes to Paul's family and those close to him
