Ed Morgan Wins 8 Regional Championships

THE MID-ATLANTIC CHAMPIONSHIP CUP SERIES HAS BEEN DECIDED

---- Morgan Racing Dominates With Multiple Victories ----

Frederick, Maryland/ October 26, 2000 /PR Racewire

Campaigning a Yamaha R6, local motorcycle racer, Ed Morgan, dominated the Championship Cup Series Mid-Atlantic region. Competing against more than 400 other experts, Morgan won the #1 plate and eight of nine class championship titles.

Morgan entered his R6 in every class the machine was legal for. Even against the larger displacement equipment, Morgan's 600cc machine was routinely showing competitors his rear Metzeler tire as he slowly pulled out of sight. Morgan credits his success to great tires, excellent suspension, and the help of Wink Elder his mechanic. "I can't say enough about the Metzeler tires. They really worked well all year. I just wish other people couldn't buy them!"

Morgan also won the Home Track Championship at Roebling Road in the Southeast Region. Morgan has several more championships on the line with one more race left on the schedule for the Southeast.

For next year, Morgan has set his sights on the WERA endurance series. "I am teaming up with William Lindsey who manages Team Clinton Cycles. We are both really excited about next year and I think we are going to be a team to be reckoned with."

From Smokin' Joe:

"Ed has been a buddy for years and we salute his efforts. As the announcer at several events this season, I had he opportunity to watch the action first hand. Great Show! Watching Ed and my buddy William next season is just going to be icing on the cake. We'll be here for the guys next season as they try for a WERA Championship."
