GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Jeremy Steiner lost his life today, July 14th, 1999, in a car accident. He was one of Florida's best hopes for a future star. He had it all... Looks, personality, and talent. He came to the track looking good and feeling good about his racing. He had just come back from two race weekends that were less than stellar. Last month at Homestead he won all four races he entered, which put him right back on track. He loved the sport and his fellow racers.

He was looking forward to Daytona and winning a championship or two, then on to next season and his big test, one that I know he would have done well with. Becoming an expert!

I really liked this kid and considered him a friend. He was a total package that comes along once in a great while.

I know he's up at that big race track we will all end up at eventually but, I still feel cheated, again.....

Godspeed good friend, you are "gone but not forgotten."

Smokin' Joe and your extended family in the Florida Motorcycle Roadracing Series.

Chad's Thoughts on Jeremy

Wayne's Thoughts on Jeremy

In lieu of flowers Jeremy's family would like anyone who wishes, to donate money to Jonathan Knowles, a rider who was injured at Savannah at the beginning of the season. Jonathan is making great progress but needs our help. A service will be held at Roebling Road this weekend as well as at Homestead.

Jeremy had a special place in his heart for Jonathan as he was the rider right behind him when he crashed. In Jeremy's memory, send those checks and money orders to Jonathan, and wish him well too!

Or you can send a donation to the Wegman Fund in Jeremy's name.

I chose the photos of Jeremy, I know he would have liked them and thanks to everyone for their support!- Joe
